This role requires a service engineer, service technician or mechanical engineer with ideal with a background in transportation, automotive, aerospace, robotics, energy, or manufacturing. The candidate should have strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical abilities, preferably with degree in mechanical engineering or further professional qualification. Any of the following experience will be useful in the role; designing engines, brakes, and fuel systems, developing aircraft components and turbines, building wind turbines, HVAC systems, creating automation systems and actuators, streamlining production lines and machinery.
Responsibilities
- Proficiency in CAD and simulation tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 36
- Understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science.
- Collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Analysis & Testing: Evaluating prototypes and simulations to ensure safety, efficiency, and performance.
- Material Selection: Choosing the right materials based on strength, cost, and environmental impact.
- Strong understanding of physics and mathematics
- Maintenance & Optimization: Improving existing systems and troubleshooting mechanical failures.
- Health & Safety. Knowledge of safety regulations and risk assessments.
- Keeping up with emerging technologies and sustainability trends.
